The LSA is delighted to announce the recent appointment of Dr. Helen Goodluck (York University) as Book Review Editor for Language, for a term of three years beginning in January 2014.  Dr. Goodluck, who holds an appointment as Anniversary Professor of Linguistics in the Department of Language and Linguistic Science, is a psycholinguist with interests in first and second language acquisition, language in special populations, and adult sentence processing.  In addition to her present appointment, she has held positions at the University of Ulster, the University of Ottawa, and the University of Wisconsin-Madison. 

The Language Book Reviews, published online since 2007, have been an important part of the LSA's publishing program since the very beginnings of the Society.  The first books received for review were listed in the inaugural (1925) volume of Language, and the first book reviews appeared the following year.
