Newly published: Proceedings of SALT 24
The proceedings of the 24th Semantics and Linguistic Theory Conference (SALT 24), held at New York University, May 30 - June 1, 2014, have been published and are now available open-access on the LSA website.
SALT is North America's foremost conference devoted to natural language semantics with relevance to linguistic theory. The proceedings for SALT 24 include a "Preface by the organizers", written by Lucas Champollion and Anna Szabolcsi, and more than 30 papers, including:
- "Presuppositions are Fast, whether Hard or Soft - Evidence from the visual world" (Florian Schwarz)
- "Conjunction and disjunction in a language without 'and'" (Margit Bowler)
- "Ignorance in context: The interaction of modified numerals and QUDs" (Matthijs Westera, Adrian Brasoveanu)
- "Is 'more possible' more possible in German?" (Elena Herburger, Aynat Rubinstein)
SALT 24, edited by Todd Snider, Sarah D'Antonio and Mia Weigand, is completely open-access. Previous proceedings from SALT are currently available on eLanguage and will soon be hosted on the main LSA website. SALT 25 will be held at Stanford University on May 15-17, 2015.
