We are delighted to announce that Raul Aranovich and Georgia Zellou, the Co-Directors of the LSA's 2019 Linguistic Institute at the University of California, Davis, will be inducted as Fellows of the LSA during a ceremony at the LSA's Annual Business Meeting at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside on Friday, January 3.  They will join the remaining LSA Fellows, Class of 2020, who were selected by the at-large members of the LSA Executive Committee for their service to linguistics.

In recognition of the inestimable service they provide to the profession, Officers of the LSA (Presidents and Secretary/Treasurers), Editors of LSA Journals, and Directors of Linguistic Institutes are inducted as Fellows during the year following the conclusion of their service in those offices.

For the directors of the Institute, it was "an honor, and a real treat, to host more than 400 faculty, students and affiliates at the 2019 Linguistics Institute," according to Aranovich.  "Having so many colleagues around UC Davis (and I include the students in this category too) has been exciting and exhausting. We will miss the level of intellectual frenzy the Institute brought to our campus."

Hats off to both Directors for their outstanding service!
