Monday, March 16, 2020 - 10:33am
The LSA is open for business and stands ready to assist members and the broader linguistics community as always. The LSA will continue to monitor and adhere to guidance issued by government agencies about appropriate actions in response to the novel coronavirus. In addition, we have:

- Consulted with the organizers of CoLang 2020, the Institute on Collaborative Language Research at the University of Montana, which has been cancelled and may be rescheduled later in 2021
- Planned for the Executive Committee meeting scheduled for early May to take place virtually.
- At this meeting, we will discuss the potential long-range impact of the virus on all aspects of the LSA's operations, including our Annual Meeting.
During this time when many of our members are teaching or learning oline, we would like to spotlight the following offerings on our website. All are free for general use, including the Linguistic Academic Depository, which is normally restricted to LSA nonstudent members.
- The Linguistic Academic Depository, a site for linguists to share teaching materials.
- A Facebook group with tips and tricks for online linguistics teaching, courtesy of MIT and David Pesetsky
- A resource prepared by Will Styler at the University of California, San Diego for faculty moving to online teaching
- The LSA’s audiovisual resources and webinars
