The LSA has made the difficult decision, after consulting with the Five-Minute Linguist Reviewing Committee, to cancel the event for 2021 due to insufficient entries.  
 
Since its debut in 2017 in Austin, Texas, the Five-Minute Linguist has proved to be one of the most popular events at the LSA Annual Meeting, drawing large crowds to view -- and rate -- short, entertaining, and informative presentations on cutting-edge linguistic research.   We expect to resume the event at our 2022 Annual Meeting in Washington, DC.
