The LSA Executive Committee has approved a proposal to move forward the dates of its two confirmed Linguistic Institutes.  The decision to reschedule both Institutes was a difficult one, made as a result of the many challenges caused by the COVID-19 pandemic for planning and holding this unique LSA event safely and in person.

The Institute at the University of Massachusetts Amherst (at right, top), originally scheduled for 2021, will now be held in 2023, and the Institute at the University of Oregon (at right, bottom), originally scheduled for 2023, will now be held in 2025.  Stay tuned to the usual LSA channels for more news about the Institutes. 

The LSA has sponsored the Linguistic Institutes since 1928, providing extensive financial backing, in-kind and promotional support, and administering the fellowship competition.  Read more about the Institutes.
