At its recent meeting, the LSA Executive Committee approved the following statement:

The LSA recognizes the connection between language, human rights, and justice. We advocate for freedom of expression by journalists and members of the media. We support the student editors of DOXA as proponents of peaceful assembly and youth activism, and as members of our global language and linguistics community.
