The Proceedings of the Linguistic Society of America is an annual periodical publication of the LSA containing papers developed from talks, posters, organized sessions, and plenary sessions from the schedule for its Annual Meeting. The LSA is now accepting papers up to 15 pages in length for the 2022 volume of this publication. We encourage you to make your research available to a wider audience by submitting it to PLSA.

We apologize for the technical difficulties encountered at the Annual Meeting this year. Submitting your work to PLSA is one way of making up for any presenting difficulty you may have encountered.

PLSA LogoSubmission of your research to the Proceedings has numerous benefits. Papers appearing in this venue are indexed by Google Scholar and CrossRef, making them widely accessible to other scholars and visible to citation indices. They are incrementally added to the current volume, since they appear only online, and are therefore published shortly after submission. They also make your research available to individuals who may have attended the LSA Meeting where you presented it but who were not able to hear you present it in person.

Proceedings of the Linguistic Society of America is available on a platinum open-access basis, completely free of charge. Publishing your work in this compilation does not normally preclude your making your handout, poster, PowerPoint slides, or paper available by other means, including later submission of a fully developed paper (with altered contents) to a journal.

You may submit your paper through the LSA website no later than March 15, 2022. Visit our website to find submission instructions and links to the style sheet/template.  Note that articles in the Proceedings are evaluated to affirm consistency with the research described in the abstract presented for review by the Program Committee and the formatting and style requirements specified in the style sheet, but do not undergo further peer review.
